VANCOUVER - March 16, 2009 -VendTek Systems
Inc. (VSI - TSX Venture) ("VendTek") today
confirms that as previously announced, the inventory
investigations by VendTek's management and a determination
of any potential restatement of its financial statements
are ongoing. The British Columbia Securities Commission
on March 6, 2006 issued a cease trade order with respect
to VendTek's securities (the "CTO") as a result
of VendTek failing to file its annual financial statements,
management's discussion and analysis and CEO and CFO
certificates (collectively, the "2008 Annual Financial
Statements") by the filing deadline of March 2,
2009 as prescribed by National Instrument 51-102 - Continuous
Disclosure Obligations. As a result of the issuance
of the CTO with respect to the VendTek's securities,
VendTek is no longer required to adhere to the "Alternative
Information Guidelines" set out in National Policy
12-203 - Cease Trade Orders for Continuous Disclosure
Defaults. However, VendTek will continue to update
the market as more information becomes available.
