eFresh Cash allows network management
of prepaid cash deposits for selling vouchers. This can be effective
in markets where credit or electronic payments are not available
as well as in other markets where the operator or distributor
does not wish to grant credit risk.
It is a fully integrated solution using all of the eFresh functionality
including managing different commission levels for merchants
and distributors. Merchants receive their commissions immediately
upon the sale of a voucher as a credit in their eCash account.
Any current eFresh terminal can be used with eFresh cash: POS,
ATM, PC and web based distribution points. Additional functionality
is available on some terminals to allow the merchant to check
their eCash balance and it can be added to any terminal with
a software update.
Distributor
Model
eFresh Cash can be used by a distributor to
operate their own network of merchants with no credit
risk. The distributor has a master merchant account that
holds their deposit with the eFresh operator.
The distributor then uses an eFresh terminal to allocate
a portion of that deposit to each of his individual merchants.
This could be allocated based on prepayments that the
distributor has collected locally from his merchants.
Merchant
Model
The eFresh operator can use eFresh Cash in a direct relationship
with its merchants. Rather than granting credit to merchants,
the merchants deposit prepayments directly into an operator's
bank account. These deposits are then automatically or
manually added to the merchants' eCash account on the
eFresh server.
Integrated
Model
The eFresh operator can use eFresh Cash along with the
postpaid billing functions. This allows for credit worthy
merchants to use the existing billing functionality along
with merchants or distributors that wish to operate with
no risk using the eCash functionality.

eCash billing consists of automated
detailed merchant statements that show deposits, sales and adjustments.
The statements can be modified to meet the operator's or distributors'
needs and can be delivered automatically via email or fax to
each merchant.
If desired, individual merchants can be allowed to run a negative
eCash balance to permit a form of credit to your best merchants.
The eCash functionality includes a daily reconciliation of all
merchant eCash balances.
Standard eFresh operator reports include: current merchant balances,
detailed daily deposits, manual adjustments and more can be
customized to suit any needs.
eCommNet is the transaction engine for
the eFresh system and now handles merchant accounts that are
using eCash. There are also interface additions in Control Centre
to allow for merchant eCash management. In addition we have several tools for working with and managing eCash in real time.
This application can provide a direct link to a bank to transfer funds. Using this method requires a bank that has a web service interface to transfer funds from the merchant's bank account to the eFresh operator's bank account. The merchant's current eCash balance is monitored by Bank Link and when it reaches a settable trigger, the Bank Link application will connect to the bank and transfer a configurable amount of funds from the merchant to the operator. The merchant's eCash balance will increase by the amount of the transfer automatically.

This application processes bank deposit files to automatically
enter merchant deposits on the eFresh server. The merchant will go to the bank and place a deposit directly in the eFresh operator's bank account. The bank will send a file on an automated schedule such as by FTP or direct link to the eFresh server network. This file will contain records for each deposit including the amount and the merchant ID. This file is then process automatically by eCash Import and each merchant's eCash balance is increased by the amount of their deposit.

The eFresh POS clients can be configured to allow eCash transfers. This can be useful to allow some merchants to act as collection points for cash. A small merchant with no local bank may go to a nearby larger merchant and give his cash. The large merchant can accept the cash and transfer funds from his eCash account to the small merchant's account. The large merchant is acting as a bank/collection point for the eFresh operator and can be given a commission on the payments if desired.
This application allows for manual deposit entries as
well as adjustments and printing of receipts and statements.

The POS and eFresh Mobile client applications work well for one by one transfers but not for agents that have many transfers to do each day. For these high volume clients we provide this web based solution with a user friendly interface to transfer funds from one eCash account to multiple authorized merchant accounts.
This java application allows mobile phone to do eCash transfers. This can be useful to allow cash collection agents to go to a merchant's store and pick up cash and immediately credit the merchant's eCash account with the amount of the payment. |
